While I had no reason to think otherwise, my HIV test same back negative. Of course because I can't not worry about everything I was stressing over the results. Thankfully that is all behind me now. The work stuff I have on my plate I am feeling better about. After talking with my new team and getting some more things understood I am feeling like it is less daunting than it was. So now I feel with that, and the holiday/money stress behind me I can go back to being my normal foxy self again.

Skiing is pretty much my main focus from now until april, it seems like every week I can't wait to get back on the slopes again. I'm trying to make plans for a new set of skis for next season, something that will do better for me in the powder. I'm on a 78 waist width and I'd like to see how I do on something that is in the 90's. There is still a lot of research to be done for it so its unlikely it will happen soon, but its fun to plan for it.

The wuff has been trying to make us go to bed before midnight, and so far its been working well. I'm feeling a bit more rested, and with as much time spent working out its kind of important that we do that. So far its been met with success, other than feeling lame for going to bed at 11:30 =p

More owl progress.... not ready quite yet!

I was commissioned to paint the Queen Alien as a Christmas gift. Now that the recipient has it, it is safe to post! :)

Yesterday was an all around bad day for me. Returning to work after the vacation sucked, mostly because it is a transition period, and things are really up in the air. I've got things left to do for my current group and things that my future group wants me to start working on now. All the things I wanted to get done over the break didn't happen due to people not delivering on their deadlines. So now I've got an odd mish mash of things that need to get done. On top of that, with the transition I start doubting myself, wondering if I can do the work that they think I can. I've never really worked with analog stuff at all, so it is really new to me. Once I get into the swing of things I'll feel better, but right now there are a lot of doubts.

Then there was me being retarded yesterday and sending out bad data to make things more complicated on my end, that didn't help.

On top of all that, hockey sucked and we lost 4-1 and really got our asses handed to us in the second and third periods. We had only 4 shots on net in the 3rd, which is just sad.

I curled up with a book last night and that helped. Then Dire wrapped his tail around me, made me tea and gave me wuff snuggles, which made everything right again.

New after hours project: Barn Owl mask. Going for something stylized but sorta realistic-ish. Just trying something a little different. I adore barn owls so i wanted to try a creepy mask of one. Fun!

Vision through the tear ducts ( or might try a trick I have in mind with clear lenses) It will be cast in plastic and copies will be for sale like the other masks i have made. Iam working on it on my off hours so hopefully it will be done in a week or two :)

Premises are cheap; good storytelling difficult. In the spirit of starting the year with a clean slate, I offer up my 2009 List of Story Premises to the creative commons. These are all stories I would love to see produced in some format or other, but will probably never get around to. SCIENCE. It works, bitches.

Managed to finish this up as the last piece of 2009!

This is being made into a screen for hand printing hoodies, shirts and probably bandannas. I made this more for myself than anything else....but i hope people like it!

I'll probably have the clothing ready to order in about a week or two :)

Also, i want to put up more stuff in my MySoti shop. I REALLY like the quality of the shirt prints over there. I only have one shirt there right now....(click) Thoughts?
